Frog's PGP sig won't match here because I cleaned up his ridiculous sloppy line lengths. You'll have to go to the URL above to check it out. In this post Frog deviously hints - no, actually suggests, that remops work together to compare entry/exti information in order to out people. What do you think Frog would do to his "enemies" if he did receive such helpful info from other remops? He'd take their info and twist it around with some supposed "proof" of his own and be outing his "enemies" left and right. He'd have a field day that a paranoiac only dreams about. ---------------------------------------------------------- http://www.google.com/groups?q=author:frog-admin&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-&newwindow=1&scoring=r&as_drrb=b&as_mind=1&as_minm=1&as_miny=1999&as_maxd=31&as_maxm=12&as_maxy=2000&selm=EJ2YDBZM36888.5470486111%40frog.nyarlatheotep.org&rnum=6 Tiny URL: http://tinyurl.com/ridh From: Frog-Admin (Use-Author-Address-Header@[127.1]) Subject: Re: QUESTION Newsgroups: alt.privacy.anon-server Date: 2000-12-28 04:10:35 PST -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- On Thu, 28 Dec 2000, Hans wrote: >On Wed, 27 Dec 2000 20:36:58 -0600, Frankie wrote.. > >> [..] There are some very talented "trackers" out there that could >> possibly trace the post back to an originator etc. > >But what part of 'encrypted through several remailers' didn't you >understand? Where do you want to start? Check every incoming message >(50.000 or more in a week) by hand, hoping that Script-Kiddy forgot >to encrypt? "Track Back" an emerging post to its real origin is not possible. "Track Forward" a suspicious incoming load of mail to see if it emerged as a part of a flood: that was the "brilliant" scheme I developed in remops list. After some input and a good night of sleep, and despite fine-tuning attempts, it appeared so badly flawed that I had to drop the whole idea: My so-called "inquiry" procedure of course required cooperation from all remops all along the track but could be exploited by nefarious TLA posing as "concerned remop" >>>legitimate users could be exposed at least in one way: (suspected individuals could be linked to incriminating output...) If you want to play with the idea, I can publish here the details of the proposed scheme the scenario of the attack which made me discard the plan It leads to a dead end / sorry. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: N/A iQEVAwUBOksrsoDgT488d3zFAQFkvggAma8iTXrvyg5o3RIBULeMHbXeyJZ2aBdj 6dP3N293G19TqRk/oKGeq2hYDpqQeU/xQE7LiGO1YoJtEXbqlC7gZyeConC7XKmL F3FyTbox+yqA2SHvyeHnkomEi9BlVRwSxspZWRzP0lKzvTYlaqZ4CjTtU156DQx8 wddKohgy1e8QME/zYFCJlFRHEuzsuddogmCC46jh3MpMpMCUlW9xJRRP7ztd1iRm s+5xphQ07OrGf39LJ11t3+lmAQBR2M2uGHYdQsEnxrzjFXLwKFNn7SffXlfQp8Xz TsqBIFoPB2+ShMpcQd3AjbM0tFq9IHrVYwA4fVS45/6r8rn8VEtIsA== =vhRF -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
