The Latest News
December 26, 2005: Two stories have been posted to the Nifty story archive. Look for "Rainy Day Huskies" and "The Initiation" in the bestiality section. Also, some talker links have been updated in the Just For Zoos section and the Canine Casanova FAQ has been brought up-to-date.

August 7, 2002: Some changes have been made to the talker list in the Just For Zoos section. Also on June 25th, the UZP celebrated it's seventh year. Not too much else has been happening as I haven't had a lot of time to work on things. A repository for the stories is still needed, if anyone has any ideas please email me.

November 20, 2001: For some reason, NetDump has "suspended" the UZP. I have yet to learn why, so in the meanwhile I've put the page on a new site. Hopefully this server will leave it alone. Work is proceeding on finding a non-commercial home for the page, watch this space for all the latest. At least the banners on this server aren't too obnoxious...

June 25, 2001: The UZP celebrates its 6th birthday today! That's 42 in dog years... The FAQ list is generating lots of good questions and supportive email, thanks to those who helped produce it. Also, I am reviewing a huge collection of stories that were just sent in--those in keeping with the spirit of the UZP will be posted as they are found.

June 3, 2001: Taking some time off is good for everyone, including me. The page has taken a relative vacation for the last couple of months, with the exception of keeping up the ICQ list. But during this small vacation, a new Zoo FAQ has been born. It's gone through two rough drafts and is now ready for public consumption, but I like to consider it a work in progress. Comments and suggestions are encouraged. The list is linked from the main page of the UZP and also in the FAQ section of the Just For Zoos section.

12/26/2000: After a bit of research, it seems that the old zoo ICQ list has gone away. So, I'm making efforts to revive it. If you would like to be listed, please let me know. And please help pass the word to others who may wish to be listed. Visit the zoo ICQ list! It is included in the Just For Zoos section.

12/16/2000: It is with great regret that I must relate the news of the demise of zoophile.org. Apparently, the ISP who was providing bandwidth suddenly found that the zoo server was pulling too much data through their connection and required payments to continue service, which many users of the service were unwilling or unable to provide. The server is down, hopefully someday it will return. My thanks to Pony for all his efforts and good intentions to help re-create zoophile.org as a genuine service to the zoo community. I hope it will return someday soon. Until then, the netdump.com mirror is up and functioning.

Additionally, the first steps toward adding some graphics to the page have been made. See the Books section for a glimpse at one idea that's being considered.

12/11/2000: Zoos in the news! There is an article in the November issue of FHM Magazine featuring interviews with a number of zoos (including yours truly), and I have just finished a radio interview for the Jeff Blazy Show, which airs on a station in the San Francisco Bay area. Transcripts of both items will be available soon. For now, some basic information is up and available.

10/2/2000: A new story has been added to the wolf stories section. Check out the fictional Marty's Wolf by Dogzilla.

8/26/2000: A first for the UZP! Thanks to the revival of zoophile.org, the site is now running with a mirror. Both sites will be updated simultaneously, so feel free to choose whichever one you want.

8/7/2000: After reviewing some materials on the UZP, I have decided to remove some stories that really don't fit well into the 'zoosexual' category. The goals of the UZP have always included presenting zoosexuality in a positive light, and I feel that the inclusion of outright pornography isn't helping anything. I know that it's a very fine line to walk, and in the end it is only my editorial opinion that is responsible for these changes. There are large archives of zoo porn on the net, so it's not as if these stories will be lost forever. This is just an effort to improve the tone of the content on the page, it is not a statement about the quality of any of the stories that were removed. The goal is to include only stories with a genuinely zoo tone as opposed to stories including sex with animals as "just another kink." In total, 7 stories were removed from the page, none of which were written by authors known to be zoo. While I do not discriminate based on the sexual orientation of an author, my experience has been that zoo authors do a much better job of capturing the feelings involved in such relationships. The UZP continues to welcome all submissions of any kind.

7/5/2000: Much has happened in the last 10 days. Firstly, the UZP has moved to a new location. The new server is a little slow, but it's free and they seem to be open-minded about content. I encourage everyone to please take a moment and visit their homepage and the spnosors thereon. Doing this will help keep banners and other ads off the UZP. Their home is www.internetdump.com. They offer free home page services to responsible users.

Why did this move take place? It appears to be part of the continuing lack of unity within the net's zoo community. I feel fortunate that I was able to find a new home for the page with relatively little downtime. I have revised my article on the UZP's 5th birthday to reflect these changes and some new thoughts.

6/25/2000: The UZP is 5 years old! Hard to believe, at least for me. I have written some thoughts on 5 years of the UZP, they can be found in the UZP Events section.

6/12/2000: I've added a divider bar above the main menu that seemed to fit the page. Also, a new sound clip has been added in the Just For Zoos section.

6/7/2000: A collection of some haiku has been added in the Prose & Poetry section. More poetry is likely to be arriving from the same author.

In other news, there have been some changes in my life--changes which I hope will allow me more time and freedom to write. The long-awaited 4th chapter of "The Dog in the Modem" may be here by summer's end. I hope to be writing more stories, and am planning a collaborative effort on a "super zoo FAQ" that will include more than just answers to questions, AND with more free time, I can surf for more interesting animal-related links. Stay tuned for all the latest.

And as if that weren't enough, the UZP turns 5 years old on the 25th of this month! I haven't a clue what kind of celebration there will be, but something must be done to commemorate this milestone. Watch the page for more.

4/25/2000: I discovered a lovely little entry confirmation script at JavaScript Source and have added it to the main page. Hopefully, this will help prevent people from "stumbling onto" the UZP without wanting to be here. As if there weren't enough warnings on the page already. Suggestions for what to put in the dialog box are welcome, I'm not 100% sure about the wording that's there now. Also, look for a new, more secure email address for me, coming soon.

4/12/2000: It appears that the Nymserver has gone down for good. A moment of silence for a very good service that will be sorely missed. For now, all email links for me point to canine_casanova@hotmail.com, which should serve well enough. I am looking for a good anonymous server, so if anyone knows of a good one, please let me know. The shift of addresses has also helped get some of the code in some files cleaned up a bit.

3/24/2000: Some zoo-related binaries have been added to the Just For Zoos section. And, that section has now been indexed with links for easier navigation.

3/5/2000: Two new listings have been added to The UZP Bibliography. Also, Wolfheart's bio has been removed, at his request. Many thanks to him for allowing me to use his work.

2/24/2000: My Love, a new article about perceptions and relationships, has been added to the Prose & Poetry section.

1/2/2000: Happy Zoo Year everyone! The special .wav file for the holidays has been removed. Plans are underway for a section featuring zoo-friendly sound clips--watch this space for details as they happen.
